Lynbrook is a very academically-focused school. The environment is often described as competitive, however, students are generally supportive of each other and their individual endeavors. Quality of teaching varies at Lynbrook. In general, teachers are supportive and caring of the students, but having to essentially self-study some courses does happen occasionally.
As one may expect, AP classes have a heavier workload at Lynbrook, but in general I've found that I get more out of an AP class compared to a regular class. This is due to the teachers usually putting more time and effort into properly engaging the class with the courses.
Support for extracurricular programs such as clubs and sports will depend on the specific activity, as some programs are funded more than others. The school can improve on equally funding all extracurricular programs. School spirit is high and the student body can get highly involved in activities such as homecoming, rallies, and other spirit events.

Most of the teachers are friendly and are willing to help you outside of class time! They are also very understanding of other classes students take! The teachers are also very knowledgeable in their subjects as many have been teaching for many years. To add on, there are a variety of different electives students can take, and the teacher helps everyone prepare very well! There are also about a hundred clubs on camous which can help anyone with a diverse interest during both lunch and brunch! Overall a really large, friendly, and engaging school environment! Would recommend!
Lynbrook is a great place to keep yourself challenged and productive. You’re given many opportunities to prove your course rigor to colleges, and the environment is stressful but it gives you good armor to protect you in the future. The teachers are very supportive and they always strive to find the best in their students. There are also tons of clubs to choose from that align to your interests, so don’t be afraid to try something new!
