Through sports, classrooms, and gatherings, I always felt like there was something special about the school. With the shutting down of the original location due to mine subsidence, the school came together in ways I have never seen it come together before. They supported people in ways that they had never supported people. We lost a lot of loved teachers, because of life, paths, and career paths, but all in all, it’s still feel complete and whole. As an athlete at the school, I always felt like I had the support of people around me. Being a School of less than 150 people is difficult, but lutheran made it easy for me to always feel like I was at home.
Lutheran High is a wonderful school. The teachers really work to get to know each of their students on an individual level. The curriculum is challenging and definitely prepares them for college. There are also plenty of clubs, sports teams and other activities for the students to get involved in. Overall, the students and staff are friendly, welcoming and respectful. Great place!
My experience at Lutheran High School has been interesting. I transferred from public school to Lutheran my freshman year. This was during COVID and surprisingly we did not have to wear masks as long as other schools. So many of the different teaches have impacted me in many different ways. But the school has since suffered from mine subsistence which has caused Lutheran to go downhill slowly.
