Going to school at Luray was not the worst place to attend. Although the students are very rude and our principle is a pushover there are qualities that make it better than most schools. The teachers (most of them) were nice and helpful and were always willing to stay after school and help. The assistant principle is new and it is her first year as an assistant principle. She came in acting like she was the head of the school and had complete control. Our academics are great and joining the Academic Team was the best decision I ever made! Our softball team is Phenomenal and made it to the last round of states last year and are planning to go back this year! Other than the rude students it is not the worst school I could have gone to.

What I loved most about Luray High School are the teachers. They never failed to impress us with their educational experiences which then made the process for success much easier for us students!
Luray High School feels like a tight-knit community among students and teachers alike. It feels like there’s a place for everyone. Academically, there are classes that are available for students to take to challenge them and prepare them for college accordingly. The only real issue there is, is a lack of diversity. There are few students of color.
