Lumberton Senior High School is a great school! We are always welcomed by office staff in the morning which always starts the day off right. The teachers are motivated and always are ready to assist a student in need. The schools resource officers are always making sure the school/staff and students are safe, and always handle situations with care. The principles and assistant principles keeps the school in check.

Academic wise the teachers were very helpful, they would stay after school nearly everyday to help students who needed help. The school spirit was very evident, we all had pride in the school. Security wise, it wasn't a great place to be. We had several bomb and school shooting threats, there would be constant fighting in the hallways. There was this one time a girl brought in a box cutter and used it in a fight. There would be kids who would skip school constantly, and they would just walk out the front doors causally, no teacher, administrator, or office lady stopping them, even though they saw them. We had an assembly freshman year when a freshman kid skipped school and got in a car accident and died. Nothing came from the assembly. They would just walk back in just as easily, no signing in required. We had times where we went into lock down mode because we had a stranger roaming the halls, because no one stopped them from walking in.
Lumberton Senior High is one of the few High schools in my county. Because of the school size, it is easy to stand out. I have personally been able to make connections with both my teachers and peers. On the downside, Lumberton Senior high has very little representation and diversity. Seeing how the Arab community in my county is already very small, the Arab population at my school is close to none. Another downside is the fact that there are about five clubs in the whole school. Because of that, we are not able to do much extra-curricular activity with our school that does not include sports. In general, I have had a good experience with my school and hope that Lumberton senior high grows bigger and better.
