Lucille M. Nixon Elementary School Reviews

After five years at Nixon we have come to the conclusion that It's a good school for kids who have absolutely no issues. If your child is struggling with a learning or emotional issue, you will get very minimal support. There are few good teacher's that are willing to work in collaboration, but the majority are very strict. Grades and achievements are too priority for the school, rather than social emotional development. Our younger daughter was supposed to start at Nixon next year but given all of this we decided to send her to a more nurturing school. Overall were not very happy with the school.

Nixon was an amazing school. The teachers were extremely patient and assigned creative and meaningful assignments. I remember writing a journal as someone in the gold rush in 4th grade and doing book reports opened me to fascinating books and genres I wouldn't have initially read.
