Great school! It has many Pre-AP and AP choices, but it requires Pre-Ap classes starting 9th grade. There are many activities, clubs, and events to go to. There is a lot of school spirit and well behaved students. The teachers try to help when grades are suffering, but there are a few that don’t want to be here. It has a close group of administration that watch each other’s backs.

My time at Lovejoy has been pretty decent. There are so many things to be involved in and has the perfect student body size. Lovejoy only offers Pre-AP and AP courses, meaning that the curriculum is difficult and fast paced. Thankfully, the teachers at Lovejoy are always there to help and even offer tutoring most days of the week. Like every school there are some downsides. For instance, there are no off periods, and if you are looking for more career prep classes, you may want to look at a different district. However, the resources that are available to students almost completely make up for everything. Lovejoy is definitely a school where you are given the chance to experience new things, for example: robotics, CNA, art history, and so much more. They even offer dual credit classes through a local community college your senior year on campus, no commuting involved.
You have a choice on academic rigor. While Lovejoy boasts to be PreAP in all its core subjects, this is not true. PreAP classes are rather easy (so everyone can do well). However, I took AP classes, and that allowed me to be challenged.
One of my biggest problems with Lovejoy is the late work policy. Students can essentially turn in homework in up to the last day of the semester. This does not prepare the students for college!
The fine arts at this school are amazing.
