In my four years attending Louisburg High School, I have had nothing short of an AMAZING experience. The staff here care tremendously about each one of us students, creating personal relationships with each and every one of us. Teachers such as Mr. Gupton, and staff like Mrs. Collins, Mrs. Bryant, Ms. Oxendine and more encourage so many students to keep pursuing their goals and not let anything get us down. As a high school senior, and first generation college student, our student services department has helped in guiding me with such a challenging journey. Our administration is incredible, making an effort to build bonds with many students and hosting engaging activities such as ice cream socials for AB’ students and Free Music Friday for students on Fridays! I will forever be a warrior, bleeding orange and blue everywhere I go! #WarriorPride

Louisburg had the best teachers. They cared about our academics and made sure all their students were doing well. The teachers cared about our lives- whether we had enough to eat, how is our family, etc. We has great sports teams. We had the best media center with plenty of books and the best cafeteria workers- I even once had a worker help pay for my lunch when I couldn't afford it. The school focused on spirit- we had the best pep rallies and spirit week. The guidance counselors helped with college and career choices. When I was depressed and having negative thoughts, a guidance counselor helped me through it. Louisburg High School cared about their students.
There are a few very intelligent and dedicated teachers at LHS that I am proud to be taught by. The atmosphere at school is comfortable and promotes excellence and student involvement. However, there are many questionable choices of hiring in many of the teachers I have had over the years. In multiple classes, I had to adapt to new teachers regularly. In fact, I had three different teacher for AP Psychology throughout the semester. I am proud, however, of one of our teachers who was able to handle three classes in her building for the year. This was why she was awarded teacher of the year. The not so good teachers, however, are the worst of the worst. There have been multiple teachers in the last 4 years who were fired for inappropriate behavior and plain not teaching. I hear complaints daily about how some teachers only give students worksheets and slide shows and then spend all day on their phone.
