I first came to Osos as a transfer student freshman year. I knew only a handful of people and was scared of meeting new students, but there were plenty of people and teachers there who were more than willing to help me. Over the years, I've come to truly enjoy my high school experience. The only major part that I found to be negative, it the large amount of pressure felt by many honors students here. Due to the large amount of advanced classes you're able to take, there's almost an expectancy to take more and do the best in each class. I found this to be extremely overwhelming, especially in my sophomore year. So many students around me are always stressed and lack sufficient sleep. Most teachers, thankfully, are very understanding and will almost always help you along the way as long as you ask! Overall, I'm pretty thankful to have been able to come to this school, and meet so many kind people.
Review Los Osos High School
I personally loved my journey at Los Osos High School. The aspect of family is strong and helps students to know that they have a family at school. The sports as well as the clubs truly keep our school involved with one another. Their is a very strong sense of school spirit all throughout the high school. Not only is our school spirit through the roof, but our readiness for college and the future is astounding. Los Osos truly prepares its' students for great success through rigorous courses and always providing resources. Their is always some form of tutoring available, computer resources as well as book resources are always at hand. The NHS club provides tutoring daily to ensure help to the students of Los Osos. I am very proud to be a Los Osos Grizzly!
Los Osos High School gave me and others so many opportunities and chances to participate in the 80+ clubs on campus. During my freshmen and sophomore year, I was slacking and lost. Students from Peer Counseling helped me and guided me on my way to success and for improvement and now I do just the same. Helping! Overall, my experience with Los Osos has opened my eyes and honestly stored my faith in humanity.
