I am lucky enough to be attending a school with such amazing facilities and wealth coming in, however, the people can be very snobbish and cruel and administration often turns a blind eye to this. Many students feel entitled and I believe that this is due to a lack of education on the real world. Students need to be aware that although we are able to attend a beautiful high school campus that sits in a little bubble, far away from any of the bad things, this is not representative of the world. I feel that many Osos students will face challenges in adulthood due to this lack of 'real world' preparation. Despite this, I am quite pleased with my education. Los Osos is blessed with a variety of teacher to teach a variety of different subjects that some schools aren't able to teach because of a lack of funding. We are also in partnerships with many colleges which is extremely beneficial to many of us who may be struggling with choosing and getting into one's desired college.

My highschool experience with Los osos has been great! My first year at Los Osos highschool was when I was a sophomore. I was able to experience a lot of new things compared to my previous highschool I attended during my freshman year. I was involved in the Grizzlys for God club my sophomore year. Then, my junior year I was involved in dance fundamentals. The beginning of my senior year I was in the dance team for choreography. The college and career center introduced me to an ROP program which helped me to be able to receive an internship to be a medical assistant. I mostly enjoyed keeping myself busy with the Los Osos activities, clubs, and programs they provided.
Los Osos has a great reputation when it comes to academics. The humanities department is FANTASTIC by any measure. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and good at what they do. However the same, unfortunately, can not be said for the science department. There are a couple exceptions, but for the most part the science department leaves a lot to be desired. The teachers teach from the book without explanation and do not seem to know the material very well. The band program is amazing and holds some of the best instructors in the area. The administration is kind and supportive of the students and has amazing outreach and college readiness programs. Overall despite its short comings, Los Osos is an exceptional school.
