While at Los Al I was lucky enough to have Dr. Martinez as my principal. He is seriously one of the coolest dudes, always taking an interest in the students and their activities or just sharing a random word and smile. For me personally, senior year was the best with great experiences in both Vocal Production and the Choir's year-end show. These classes led by Dherlin and Moellenkamp, respectively, are top-notch in every aspect. I would recommend both classes for students seeking true camaraderie. Other favorite teachers are Hooper, Helm, Chavez, and Courtemarche. Los Al also offers a variety of clubs and other activities like the talent show and Griffin Games. While attending Los Al I didn't think much about its academics. However, now that I am in college I am finding how very well Los Al has prepared me for success. While other students are struggling with coursework I am finding that for me it’s more like review. Thanks Los Al faculty! Once a Griffin, Always a Griffin!

Great school-too many kids on campus though-the campus was not built for 3,200 students!
Lots of clubs, sports opportunities, award winning choir program- approx 7 show choirs, great music departments with 3 Jazz Bands, drum line, marching band, orchestra, drama program, dance program, ASB, much more, students just need to take the opportunity to get involved.
Most of the teachers are very motivated and really want to see you succeed. The sports programs are very competitive. There are many clubs to get involved in. The drama department is exceptional! Our school is OVER crowded though. They should not have over 3,000 students at lunch either because they're not able to monitor all of us and not to mention waiting to get your lunch from the cafeteria (forget it!). The foods not great, so bring your own lunch. There is some drugs going on in/out of the classrooms. Many of the students are very superficial and fake.
