I like that the teachers focus more on our progress, rather than how advanced we are or not. I wish that the students were more respectful.

This school is a joke! Kids are not challenged to do better. The teachers don't care. My daughter went here for 7th and 8th grade and got straight A's. She said that she learned more in the 6th grade when she was homeschooled. I'm 8th grade she probably missed a week and a half from a sports injury and every day I went in to get missing work they didn't have any. They all said she will be fine, she has great grades. The school only has two good teachers, but unfortunately they are bound by the politics of the school.
I am a freshman now, but I went to Lorna Byrne Middle school for 7th and 8th grade. I feel that I didn't learn anything when I went there. Except for in math. It seemed as though the whole year was just fun and games. I was in advanced US history and we barely did any work related to history. I wish my parents homeschooled me for those years. I probably would have a better education.
