I think this school has a lot of ups and downs, and that's coming from someone who went here from 6th-8th grade. The lunch food is disgusting, the gyms are dirty, and the hallways are often crowded. The school seems to neglect art-related extras more focused on sports. The kids however are the worst part, as someone who attended school during covid. Masks might as well be left at home they're rarely on people's faces. Bullying is common more hurtful words than actions. But I've seen people take photos of people and share them to laugh at others.
I feel that I should mention I'm black. Racism has never been so obvious to me. Slurs are used often and jokes about race are common. If you not white, male, and straight, forget about not getting made fun of. The school response is good when you tell the administration so I can't fault them for that.
My experience wasn't horrible but these are things that happened from my POV, this may not be the case for you.

it is a pretty good school in my opinion. there are fun electives, the teachers are generally pretty ok, the library has lots of fun things to do like sudoku and color by number and the straw shaped thingys and so many other things and they have cool events like inktober and name the library fish and the one where you draw a picture and they put it on a canvas and hang it on the wall like decorations. i think the food should be free because it isn't really good and there isn't a lot of healthy things. Some of the students are pretty nice but the totally nice people are a little hard to find. The events are pretty fun like the tailgate and the boo bash. There is the rogers rumble which is basically two songs put together and editied and there is a dance that goes with it. the eighth graders all seem to hate the rumble but i think its kind of cool that they started that little tradition. overall pretty good but room for improvement.
Great academics! Great teachers and Administrators! Wish the student organizations like Student Council had more regular and meaningful activity as a leadership group. My son chose not to participate his 8th grade year because he viewed it as a waste of his time.
