At Longmont High school it's so easy to get involved. There's an abundance of sports always welcoming new players, even if you've never even played it before. For example, my junior year I went out for the girls swim team. Never having swam competitively before, I was quite nervous to join the team. However, everyone made me feel very welcome and excited to swim, even if I wasn't the best at it. There's also a ton of clubs at Longmont. This year I joined a student ran club called "LHS United" which gives students the opportunity to hang out with and get to know students with disabilities. Overall, I just love the opportunities at my school. There's something fun for everyone!

Longmont High School was like a big family. Everyone looked out for each other. I was on the tennis team and it was a lot of fun! The teachers were always willing to help even if it meant staying late. The counselors went out of their way to help with even small problems. Both of my parents attended Longmont high along with aunts and uncles. My aunt was on the yearbook staff and loved every minute of it! My Dad and my uncle played football for Longmont High School and had experiences that they would not trade for anything! Attendance at Longmont High has truly been a long standing family tradition!
I’m just going to say, I wish I wouldn’t have attended longmont high. I come from a low income family, and I felt I was not treated as a normal high school student by other students around me. You must be wealthy, cliquey , or an a exceptional athlete to feel welcome by other students. Popularity is the Longmont student’s drug. There is also a gap in the student body between white population and Hispanic/latino population, and it is not a subtle gap. Staff was ok, teachers were usually helpful and insightful on the class they were teaching, and admin were mostly nice. I remember being extremely excited for high school, but my experience at Longmont High was overall, low quality.
