I liked the opportunities they provided us with college readiness (like having all ap teachers come together to have multiple assemblies encouraging and educating underclassmen about expectations of ap, what ap really is, benefits, etc.). As well their clubs and student involvement within those clubs, and some sports, were nice.
Long Branch High School has an overall inclusive environment. I can say from experience that all are welcome no matter their background. One thing about the students at Long Branch is that they are proud of who they are. Even alumnus who have reminisced on their days at Long Branch say that their high school years were the best because of how much a person can expand their. One thing about the staff members is that they work hard everyday to keep the student focused and involved. Every school has it ups and downs. But the people who help the day go on is the staff. They care for their students and uplift them whenever they can.
Overall, an okay school. I love how diverse it is and how comfortable I felt growing up in Long Branch and in this school district. Some of the teachers there were amazing and I can tell now, as a college student, paved my work ethic, skills and attitude towards school. However, I do wish they put more effort in pushing students to become a part of a club, if they even offered any, I honestly don't remember any clubs being promoted. I also wished they had prepared me for college. I barely knew how to apply for colleges until I was running out of time to apply.
