Loma Linda Academy Reviews
Rating 3.98 out of 5 137 reviews
The small size of Loma Linda Academy is both it’s greatest strength and greatest weakness. It’s easy to create close, lasting friendships in such a small environment. However, gossip spreads very quickly and is especially detrimental. Due to its size, there are a lot of structural and academic improvements that could be made. The school is lacking a variety of course options and there are a lot of unsatisfied students. Personally, the small size of the campus has allowed me to be creative and establish programs and clubs on campus. It’s easy to be deeply involved and engaged in what is offered.
LLA has been a great school for both of my kids. They were in public school from K-6, and moved to LLA for junior high and high school. The change to LLA has been night and day for the better. The students are much friendlier, the class sizes smaller and the school has a ton of activities to get students connected to the school and each other. The academic culture and expectations are much stronger than public school and I know my students are getting ahead academically. The topics covered in classes are at a much higher level of rigor than at a public school and students are serious about their education. Behavior issues are non-existent. The school has a small school feel where everyone knows each other, but with all the resources of a big school. It is a serious school for learning and I can't recommend it enough.
I attribute a lot of my personal growth to Loma Linda Academy. The environment at this schools has been one of the main contributers in personal, spiritual, and educational growth. The teachers have pushed me to strive for personal bests while simultaneously helping me stay mentally engaged. The school environment, which includes teachers, students, and faculty, are super encouraging. The constant support and encouragement are truly what makes Loma Linda Academy a fun and great school.
