Livermore High School Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 399 reviews
The social aspect of Livermore High School is unbeatable, with an extremely involved leadership class, that puts on and hosts many unique, and engaging events to bond the students on campus. When it comes to sports, many teachers just take on the roles as the coaches, rather than scouting for coaches that may have professional, or even college experience, in each sport. In addition, the academics are not as strong as I would have liked them to be. While I was at the top of my class, I am only getting slightly above average scores on things such as AP tests, and my SATs. I believe that the academic rigor of our classes is not hard enough, and we need to see a more lecture-style, college-like teaching in the classrooms, in order to further prepare us for college.
Some thing I liked about Livermore High School was that some teachers were some of the coolest people you'll meet. Some of my relationships with my teachers seemed like normal friend relationships. However, the spirit and school culture was subpar. The student counsel and teacher never really do student requests of certain events. The rallies and events that the student counsel planned were not very enjoyable. The only thing I loved about Livermore High was how close the students were with each other. We cried, prayed, and gathered together for a students' death and critical injuries.
I am a high school freshman and have had an amazing experience so far. I am a freshman class officer, in leadership, and played on the JV soccer team. I have met so many new people and made incredible friendships through the opportunities LHS offers. There is a team, club, or event for everyone and LHS does all that it can to make everyone feel welcome, included, and a part of a family. Our school works so hard to make teachers and staff feel appreciated and students feel seen. They work hard for our school to have spirit and be united, through spirit weeks and sports games where everyone is together.
