Even though there were some ups and downs at this school, I loved my experience overall. I came to this school my sophomore year after Lincoln-Way North shut down, and at first I wasn’t a huge fan. But after my first year, everyone from North and East alike started to mesh together as one big family. The school spirit is out of this world, and the education that a student can get here is absolutely stellar for a public high school. For the most part, all of the teachers actually want to be there and do their jobs with a lot of passion and effort. I’m glad I get to say I was apart of the Lincoln-Way East legacy. Go East. Go Griffins. Go Blue!

I absolutely love my high school. School is school, so it's rough at times, what with all of the homework I'm assigned on top of the extracurricular activities I do. But the resources and opportunities that Lincoln-Way offers its students are phenomenal, and its staff is very capable, knowledgeable, and helpful. I've had so many great teachers throughout my high school career so far and I feel like they've all added positively to my experience here.
The amount of importance Lincoln-Way has placed on writing strong and effective essays is one of the greatest things about my school. My teachers have often told me that alumni say the preparation we receive when it comes to writing has helped them immensely in college, and I, personally, feel that I've learned more about writing in AP Language and Composition this year alone than I have all previous years in school. I'm extremely proud to be a Griffin!
Lincoln-Way East high school is a very large public school located in Frankfort, Illinois. I had the pleasure of attending this top tier school my senior year due to the transition of Lincoln-Way North closing down. The teachers are absolutely fantastic and truly care about their students and the education. I also had the opportunity to compete on multiple sports teams and for those who don't know , LWE is an amazing school athletically and also academically. LWE's athletic conference is one of a kind.
I truly didn't realize how magnificent LWE was until I graduated and attended college. I was prepared academically and athletically for what I had coming. It's nice when people know what high school you went to because that just lets you know your high school is well known for specific reasons. For my one and only year attending the school It was a fantastic experience. Go East, Go Griffins, Go Blue!
