Lincoln Way East is an excellent high school, which I am proud to attend. The academics are absolutely excellent, with a wide variety of honors and AP electives available. The extracurriculars are amazing as well. There is truly a club or activity for everyone! Teachers are very involved with their students, and truly want to see them succeed both in the classroom and the real world. To top everything off, our sports teams are quite good, so watching a soccer or football game is always incredibly entertaining! The only thing that disappoints me about the school is that I only have one year left!

Even though there were some ups and downs at this school, I loved my experience overall. I came to this school my sophomore year after Lincoln-Way North shut down, and at first I wasn’t a huge fan. But after my first year, everyone from North and East alike started to mesh together as one big family. The school spirit is out of this world, and the education that a student can get here is absolutely stellar for a public high school. For the most part, all of the teachers actually want to be there and do their jobs with a lot of passion and effort. I’m glad I get to say I was apart of the Lincoln-Way East legacy. Go East. Go Griffins. Go Blue!
I have enjoyed my experience at Lincoln Way East High School. Throughout my four years there, I have been blessed with many opportunities, including making new friends and joining the volleyball team. The curriculum at Lincoln Way East is very challenging, especially if you strive to become a better student each day. The two things that I personally regret are not reaching out enough and trying to establish better relationships and not pushing myself as hard as I should have, given all of the academics that were within my reach. However, overall, I would definitely say that my time at Lincoln Way East has been well-lived, and that I have learned many life lessons along the way, thanks to good instruction from the teachers and administration at the school, and from the Catholic background that I had going into my high school career.
