Lincoln High School Reviews
Rating 3.76 out of 5 367 reviews
Lincoln High School is an interesting experience academically. To me it seems to be an average school, and more of a generalist geared pathway to college with some flexibility. In general, my teachers for the first two years were pretty good actually, particularly for math, but I find that my teachers this year are "OK" at best. I will say that the wrestling program is great if you are committed and I generally liked the various sports I played. In terms of specialization when it comes to a particular career out of high school, it is possible to be taking either a Physics, Biology, or Chemistry focus as early as sophomore year, and as a Senior student I am currently enrolled in AP Physics C, AP Calculus AB, AP Chinese, and AP Literature, which is about the norm for seniors or juniors. I have noticed that there is a bit of a drug problem on campus with vaping being extremely common, and semifrequent disciplinary incidences ranging from fights to "bathroom encounters" of the worst kind
Best 4 years of my life! I would automatically go back to Lincoln High School in a heart beat if I could! The teachers and staff are amazing and will always help you with anything you need. Now mind you not everyone is perfect but the teachers at Lincoln High School will at least always try their hardest to help those kids pass. My best year at Lincoln High School was my Senior year hands down. Even though our year was cut short by a nathionwide pandemic, it was honestly the best year of my life. So, in all truth there is, send your kid(s) to Lincoln.
I love the diversity at our school and appreciate the availability of guidance counselors. The collaboration between our middle school and Lincoln High School awarded us an opportunity to have a smooth entrance into high school. The shadow days were great and the "day in the life of a high school student" helped ease my nerves. Lincoln High School has provided a safe environment for the students and the school resource officer has been helpful. Lincoln High School does a great job in providing senior orientation, senior readiness, scholarship preparation, SAT and ACT readiness, and even opportunity training for those not seeking to attend college. The food leaves a bit to be desired and I wish we had more healthy options, items for vegan diets, and more brunch items since our lunch period is before 11:00am. The diversity in teachers and their passion for seeing their students excel is encouraging. Parent involvement is great and the parents always find a way to give back.
