As someone who has taken advantage of AP & advanced classes, the youth apprenticeship program, earning college credit in high school, and various extracurricular and club opportunities, I would say Lincoln has given me a quality education and a fulfilling high school experience. All the teachers I've had are very nice and willing to help you if you are willing to ask for help. They are also very understanding if you are going through a hard time. If you are willing to put in hard work and take advantage of the opportunities Lincoln has, I think you will have a good high school experience here.
Lincoln High is a good school for new students in the area. They are inclusive and have welcoming teachers to help you. You will meet many nice and amazing teachers here who will help you beyond school life. There are many courses that you can take for your interests but there are some complications with that. There are very interesting and specific classes but if there are not enough students taking those classes, then they won't offer it. This prevents students from learning or finding a passion for what they want. There should be more course diversity and they should let these courses be taught in a different way, maybe a club? There should be more clubs for increasing topics like a 'safe' place for students who have problems, to come to. Sometimes the guidance counselor isn't enough. There should be more future career opportunities so students have an idea of what they want to do after high school. Although this school isn't the best, it still has some flair to it.
Lincoln high school was a great school to attend. They provide every AP class with awesome teachers. I am very involved in sports and the coaches definitely make it worth my time. They treat me as one of their own and I am forever grateful. It’s in a wonderful location, right on Lake Michigan. It is a D1 school with a ton of competition. One thing I would love to see change is the block schedule. I am not a fan of that and learn better with a standard 7 class schedule per day.
