Overall, I have had an extremely positive experience with Lincoln College Preparatory Academy! I have been going to this school for 7 years now (middle school through high school) and have fallen in love with nearly all of my teachers. Throughout my time in this school I have been a part of many different clubs; I have joined Junior Classical League, Student Council, FIRST Robotics, Medical Club, and much more. I am honestly so proud to be graduating from this school and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Lincoln is a great school with faculty that actually cares about you and wants to see you succeed. The students there are also amazing and makes you feel like you belong as well, especially when you join clubs. I was very shy going into Lincoln but but after going there, I've definitely come out of my shell!
LCPA is a very diverse school that holds grades 9-12. Up until recently, the school held even 6-7. However, the middle schools just recently moved out into a new building across the street. LCPA has been rated number one in our district and state 2 times. It has also been rated as one of the top one hundred schools in the entire country. Lincoln College Preparatory Academy is an academic prep school and is deeply rooted in the past of African Americans. It was one of the 1st schools for African Americans in KC that was tailored for them and made sure to advance their knowledge because they were not allowed into white schools. Now the school still acknowledges its history but houses more than five races and is open to everyone who passes a test.
