Lincoln Academy Reviews
As an international student of LA, I can wholeheartedly say that I love this school. The endless opportunities, classes, and friendships it has provided me are priceless, and I will remember them forever. The amount of course options here really is astounding. There’s so much to choose from! Though I’m not very athletic, there are plenty of sports at different levels available to me if I ever decided to play. I made a lot of friends and learned English every day at practice. Artistically, I have an equal amount of opportunities. The musicals they put on here are one of my favorite events of the year. I often find myself walking between classes and saying hi to teachers, counselors, janitors and lunch ladies. One more truly special thing about LA is the residential program with international students from over 20 countries around the world. Above all, the experiences and knowledge I have obtained because of their friendship are invaluable.
Lincoln Academy is an amazing school. Students who are here actually want to be here, teachers are passionate and very intelligent, and the community is unparalleled. The boarding program offers so many opportunities to partake in such a wide variety of activities - from theater to sports to math to robotics and everything/anything in between. There are over 40 clubs and there is something for everyone. I play soccer and run track at Lincoln and I absolutely love the coach and the team. Moreover, you are always encouraged to create your own activities for the entire community. I am in love with the diversity at LA. My highlight was winning the State Champion with the Math team for 2 years and received two silver medals in the science olympiad. Lincoln Academy becomes a home for most if not all students, and it's a wonderful place to explore and pursue a quality education!
Lincoln Academy’s staff are welcoming and make sure you are healthy, safe, and comfortable. Students are really nice, most like to connect with international students, but you have to be outgoing and like to speak for yourself. For academics for international students, Lincoln Academy has a really great system for any level student. You can fit at any level, and the teachers are graduated from top school in the United States. If you live in a dorm, all there are weekend activities, you will not be bored. Lincoln Academy also has a strong band and theater program - just try it, you will love it! There are also really nice guidance counselors to help you choose courses and plan your future. Lincoln Academy’s kitchen is always trying to explore different types of foods. It is delicious and you will find your culture’s food and love. Maine is an amazingly safe place and dorm parents will take good care of you! If you chose this school, you will find yourself in this amazing place.
