Lighthouse Christian School Reviews

My school has been phenomenal for me. I am homeschooled but this is my corresponding umbrella school. The curriculum has always been advanced, easy to understand, and conducive to my spiritual growth. It allows me to work at my own pace, which has in turn allowed me to pursue cello, symphony, Irish dance, and babysitting, as well as be active in a youth group. (But most importantly, I get the 8 hours of sleep that EVERY teen should be allowed!) The only things that I don’t like are the school’s lack of proactivity in getting me into a lab experience and the lack of paper-writing preparation. I didn’t have any hands-on experiences in chemistry, and I have only been required to write maybe 5 papers throughout all of high school so far. Nevertheless, If I could go back and do it again, I would definitely still choose this school.

Did not prepare me for college and was very surprised by what I encountered. Very strict, but thankfully I had a teacher or two that was nice to me and made it less terrible. Did not have any clubs or activities, but they did participate in student conventions that helped me develop my skills. However, I did not receive the help I needed for academics and the teachers were really nosy. Do not recommend. My real rating would be 2 1/2.
I really enjoyed studying at LCA. I had a good experience in learning which makes me what in continue working on my education in an university.
