Hi! I'm going to be a sophomore once summer is over, and I'd like to say that LHS is a great place. The teachers are respectful, and genuinely care about the students and their well-being. There are many opportunities for students to excel in multiple aspects, and loads of fun events that students help plan. The academic load is not too stressful in my opinion, provided the student is able to manage their time and make enough time for both studies and extracurriculars. Of course, no place is perfect, and LHS does have flaws; however, our principal Dr. K and the student organizations are always striving to improve -- once example of this are the recent renovations the cafeteria is undergoing, most of it a result of student input. Lastly, shoutout to our one and only Wrigley the Wildcat, probably the best therapy dog there is! :)
I love Libertyville High School! There are so many different classes and clubs available so that you can focus on your interests, and there are multitudinous resources available before, during, and after school. The teachers are always offering help to all their students and are willing to meet with them if they have questions. There's a lot of school spirit and fun events-they even rent out huge areas in Chicago (ex/the botanical gardens, Navy Pier, etc) for their prom!
Libertyville high school provided me with an education thus far that is STEM heavy. Being surrounded by clubs and classes that demonstrate their perseverance in achieving excellence has taught me to take a step back and look at the opportunities in front of me. With an environment that encourages me to strive for my best, Libertyville high school has done a great job at giving me the tools to succeed. As I approach my final year in district 128, I look forward to finalizing and finishing my high school education with the amazing staff and students that surround me every day.
