Libertyville High School Reviews

My experience at Libertyville High School has been amazing. Even with my freshman year beginning with hybrid learning due to COVID, the school worked incredibly hard to make sure all students had a place and could make friends and enjoy their time there. The diversity of courses that the high school offers is outstanding and there is something for everyone. Out of school, clubs and extracurriculars allow students the opportunity to express themselves and pursue things they enjoy or want to continue with in the future. The school spirit and culture, are appalling, especially at football games during the fall. Everyone comes out to support their classmates and it makes for an entertaining Friday night with your friends. I'll never forget the connections I have made with my teachers and students and carry those with me beyond high school. Libertyville High School made my high school experience the best it could be and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Hi! I'm going to be a sophomore once summer is over, and I'd like to say that LHS is a great place. The teachers are respectful, and genuinely care about the students and their well-being. There are many opportunities for students to excel in multiple aspects, and loads of fun events that students help plan. The academic load is not too stressful in my opinion, provided the student is able to manage their time and make enough time for both studies and extracurriculars. Of course, no place is perfect, and LHS does have flaws; however, our principal Dr. K and the student organizations are always striving to improve -- once example of this are the recent renovations the cafeteria is undergoing, most of it a result of student input. Lastly, shoutout to our one and only Wrigley the Wildcat, probably the best therapy dog there is! :)
I joined Librtyville High School in the middle of my freshman year after spending three years living abroad. The teachers in my school are connected to their students and allow space for questions. Right away I felt valued as a student. However, my experience was tainted by groups of students. Before I found my teams and made connections through my sport, I was overlooked and forgotten by people who I once knew. I would like to see a program designed to include everyone on a regular basis. I would like to start a portal where students can confidentially share their views with administrators. I feel that this type of support system for new students would be beneficial and heartwarming. My best experiences at High School have taken three long years to come to the surface. I am eternally grateful for my teams, without them, I would still be a lost freshman.
