I graduated from Liberty High this past year. The community here is very close and outsiders aren't welcomed as much as they should be. The diversity is poor and there is a lack of respect and appreciation of other cultures. For academics and clubs, there isn't much you can do. Clubs are limited and there is only few, they are also poorly planned and coordinated. I wish there was more programs when I was a freshman to help me prepare for college. The teachers are also close with their students. Some of the teachers have social media accounts and follow their students. I have also seen a male teacher hug a female student, playfully.
Liberty High School is one of the places I call home. Even before I was in high school, I would participate in plays and musicals, and go to watch sports games. Then to finally get to go to school there was so much fun. From homecoming week to the Boys vs. Girls rallies, I always look forward to going to events. Not only were the extra curricular activities amazing, I absolutely loved all of my teachers. From freshmen to senior year, I had a great relationship with all of my teachers. Another great aspect of Liberty High School is the staff's dedication to their students. Especially during this tough time of distance learning, all of my teachers are doing a phenomenal job making themselves and their resources available to us.
Being a small high, I felt a close connection with most teachers. The school needs to improve on consistency when applying discipline and following policy. The school also should reach out to schools that have successful programs such as music and art to improve in these areas. This school seems to take a "they know it all" attitude.
