I've been at Liberty Charter school since 4th grade, and I'll be graduating this week from Liberty. This school has such a great community. Everyday I'm surrounded with teachers, classmates, and friends that make going to school and learning an amazing experience. The rules are a lot stricter here, but they are still reasonable and manageable, and it's all worth it to be part of such a great environment. This school has been one of the major deciding factors in my career choice of becoming an elementary school teacher, hopefully I can go back and work at Liberty some day.
Going into Liberty Charter School as a sophomore, I had the opportunity to experience two different high schools. One thing about Liberty Charter school that stood out to me from my other experiences was the familiar bond that all the students had with each other. It was definitely a shock to see the classmates alike getting along with each other, they sympathized with all of their peers and rejoiced with them. The method of education at this school was great in its own unique way, I had to change what I was used to, yet all the teachers there made it a very quick transition. If there was anything that I would change about this school it would be the hands-on experiences for the students. It felt as if, compared to my other school, that there were a lot fewer field trips, creative projects, and hands-on learning styles affiliated with the curriculum. I am very glad that I made the switch to this school though. Throughout it all, they put the students above the school.
All four of my children went on from here to college. They were well enough prepared to meet the rigorous demands of graduate school as well, having been taught early to stack time wisely with community service. They now have careers as teacher, Emergency Medicine physician, medical office manager and soon, a dentist. We are, now, looking forward to the day our grandchildren can attend!
