LASA provided me with the worst four years of my life. It created a burning hatred for learning. There is nothing good about this school. If you decide to attend, you were warned you are making the biggest mistake of your life. They encourage mental instability and act surprised when there are multiple suicides a year. No one likes LASA students, except for maybe 50% of the teachers. AISD hates LASA. Other schools hate LASA. Your friends and you hate LASA. LBJ hates LASA. Your parents hate LASA for turning you into a sad soulless individual. There will be small moments where you think going to LASA was a good decision, but those moments will be overshadowed by all the times you think why did I put myself through this suffering. There is no reward at the end all you get is a piece of paper saying "magnet endorsement" at the graduation. I'm begging you--SAVE YOURSELF!

I loved coming to the Liberal arts and Science Academy (LASA)! The academics at the school are both rigorous and fun, and the teachers are the best I could possibly ask for. The only downside is a lack of monetary resources, in some cases, because LASA is magnet school in a poor school district. However, the incredibly string PTA helps get money as much as possible and supports the school fantastically.
LASA is a great school with teachers that are qualified to teach their subjects and love to teach it. Students are supportive of each other and there are many tutoring services to help those who need it. College is a very stressful time for juniors and seniors, but the college advising at LASA is reassuring in the long process. There are downsides like resources at LASA due to funding and the old building, but donations are always welcomed! Overall, LASA allows students to get a well-rounded education with the experience of a normal high school.
