I have attended Lewisburg Highschool for 3 and a half years including this year and I can to say my experience has been magnificent! From the elite education to the devoted community there are countless positives in going to this school. In addition, the inspirational teachers and administrators only make the time here more rewarding. Then, the clubs and sports bring a thrilling outlook on the school life with state-championships in multiple sports in only 13 years. The college readiness and resources are second to none as well with top notch courses because of the staff and competition among students. The only average fields are diversity due to the young community and food because of our public school guidelines.

I was in the school band at Lewisburg, and the band program was the peak of my experience there. The students have tons of school pride, and love cheering each other on whether it’s the school play, football game, or band competition. The band parents were always extremely involved and helpful when we needed anything and took care of us at every practice. Lewisburg was also really great when it came to special needs kids and raising awareness for them. They are the first school in Mississippi to begin a Best Buddies club!
Transferring from a small private school to a large public school in the 11th grade was not easy. The counselor I worked with was very helpful with choosing which classes would be best for me. They only have two counselors and definitely need another; they were often overwhelmed and could not help all the students. Most of the teachers I have had were very nice and taught very well. I was never informed about any clubs and they never had new student opportunities. I was on the basketball team for a few months before an injury forced me to quit. The coaches were very nice but my teammates were very disrespectful and rude. I think the parents at the school are very involved, maybe too involved. Often the administration will not work with students unless parents get involved. The high school building is clean, but it has grown a lot and they need to expand. Some teachers have to move around to other classes during teachers off-periods.
