Lewisburg is a fabulous place to be. Outside of the incredibly high taxes from living in the area, it's excellent. The music program is constantly winning awards, the academics are quite intensive (many AP's are offered), and some sports are very competitive. For a small school, Lewisburg turns out a disproportionate amount of high-achieving students.
Better academics than surrounding schools, but often let students that played sports act like privileged jerks with no consequences.
cool and swag. i made a new friend there. everyone is ok. principal is nice but other administrators are not as nice. it was hard to learn because of the huge lack of diversity but the food is *chefs kiss*. there are a lot of sports. the music and arts are really, really good.
The staff was excellent they were always very caring and willing to help their students. On Tuesday's and Thursday's the staff would stay for an extra hour after school to help students catch up on their work.
I would say that for a small town experience, Lewisburg is a great school to chose. Although the administration has made quite a few questionable decisions, the school always manages to pull through. LAHS continues to have academic success and prepares students for college much more than they know. Although Lewisburg succeeds mainly in "country club sports," lacrosse, golf, tennis, the soccer, football, and basketball teams are consistently successful. I will say that throughout the entire district, parents interference has begun to play a larger role than it should. With teachers and coaches making decisions based on the parents' feelings rather than what is best for the school, class, or team as a whole. At a bigger school, parent influence would be less prevalent. No matter what, I continue to see LAHS prevail in the classroom, the theater, and the athletic field.
I really connected with some of my teachers! I think that we could improve how some students treated other students and discipline accordingly.
I enjoyed my experience at Lewisburg Area High school. The academics are fantastic and the teachers are knowledgeable and willing to help students learn. The sports are a big deal at Lewisburg and everyone takes pride in being a green dragon. The town of Lewisburg is very clean and safe. Although, Lewisburg does lack diversity in its students. Lewisburg does a good job of preparing it’s students for college by offering many AP courses. There are lots of clubs that you can get involved in and they usually dedicate time during homeroom when you can go to your clubs.
It was amazing! There are so many classes and all with the best teachers around! The theater productions are so amazing that they compete with Broadway! The teachers and staff are all very friendly and are always helpful.
Lewisburg has an amazing music program and playing in the orchestra and being involved in the musical are the greatest experiences I have had. One thing I wish to see changed is more diversity, although this is already improving.
In December of 2016, it was quite a busy month for all the students and faculty; Both the students and faculty were trying to finish up work, projects, and packing up their school supplies before the move to the new high school. I love the length most teachers will go at Lewisburg High School to help and support the students. The teachers and faculty help us, the students, prepare for what the future might hold for us. Since Lewisburg High School is very diverse, everyone has many opportunities at this school, ranging from academics to art to music and so much more. One thing about Lewisburg High School that could be improved upon on is accepting people for who they are; We have a slight problem with this due to the fact of having cliques. I think it is amazing how just a month or two ago I was in a high school that was built in the early 1900s, and now I'm in a brand new high school and to be part of the first graduating class of 2017.
Staff tries to maintain a safe environment at all times.
This school offers a lot of extracurricular activities, however most students are mainly involved in music, sports, or both.
This school puts students under a bunch of pressure to maintain all the national recognition's and high state scoring.
Bullying is a huge problem, from students and faculty members.
The typical extracurriculars are all present here, but they require an advisor, and faculty members are often hesitant to advise for a group to help with visibility of minority students.
Most Parents at the school care about not only the students' success, but their well being as well.
I had a few teachers who went out of their way to be helpful and caring. However, I had several teachers who were obviously tired of their jobs and a teacher who outright bullied me. Reported to the administration with no action taken.
