Lenart Elementary Regional Gifted Center Reviews
Rating 3.75 out of 5 8 reviews
The school places heavy emphasis on students learning material at one to two grade levels above. There’s a holistic community vibe that makes students feel safe to express their opinions and ideas. Lenart focuses on creating students that are well rounded and prepared to attend the best high schools in the city.
This school challenges the kids without extreme pressure. The kids learn in an interactive way. The teachers are very supportive and they teach the kids after school if they want something extra or need help. Miss Sims, the principal, and Miss Lee, principal assistant work together all the time to create an excellent environment. My son is very happy and feels welcomed.
It's unique that the kids all get along and mostly are kind to each other. it's ok to be smart here.
entry at k. Child should be familiar with a school setting and structure. Helpful if they have some critical thinking and communication skills
The counselor is great at solving/resolving problems. The school community is friendly and students are respectful of each other. The principal is new and still assimilating.
Prepared for high school. Didn't challenge fully.
Compared to other schools in the Southern Chicago it's much better. The building is clean with a nice amount of outdoor space. The use of technology is limited. There are computers available. The students are much more technologically savvy than the staff. Counselor is great and helpful for anything. Principal is not as much. A good transportation/ busing system is in place.
