I feel lucky to have found Léman for myself and my daughter after the closing of our beloved k-8 school. Not only is Léman an international school but it strives to grow in inclusivity and diversity, which is important to me as a mom and educator. Besides extremely dedicated teachers and an academic rigorous (but fun) curriculum, my daughter LOVES the rooftop playground for recess, swim class and swim team, the arts, Léman Main Stage productions, athletics and the music program. In a very short amount of time they turned my daughter into a confident reader, writer, scientist, swimmer and performer in theatre and band! Must also say...the food is amazing!

Amazing school! We just started this fall and so far the faculty, staff, and administration has been extremely welcoming! Our children love going to school, and always come back with stories of what they learned, ate (delicious chef-made meals), and did either at the pool, gym, or playground. It is a well-rounded school with a nicely balanced curriculum that combines academic rigor with a great arts program, athletic department, and music program.
My family has been at Léman for four years and the school has been an excellent fit for our two children. I'm constantly impressed with the quality of the faculty and their ability to challenge my children to progress with a nurturing spirit. My children are thriving in reading, writing and math and their growth has exceeded our expectations. The Léman program is very well-rounded and there is lots of exposure to science and technology, arts, foreign languages, physical activity, and more. This was important to our family. We also wanted a neighborhood school as we live nearby in the Financial District and wanted to have a network of playdates and relationships with other families in the community. When we considered other downtown and Brooklyn private schools, we felt Léman had a stronger sense of community and a stronger academic program (it is an IB school).
