Leland Public School Reviews
Rating 4.02 out of 5 58 reviews
Leland Public school is an average school, they are very sports oriented and sometimes that can be detrimental to the schools social culture. Very average public school, not a lot of diversity because leelandau county is very rural and very predominantly white. Food can look and taste bland but vegetarian options are available. The school has also had a few problems with one administrator who has done some political stunts which greatly angered parents.
It’s a pretty good school. The food is absolutely mid. Curriculum is good. Excellent theater and music program, as well as volleyball; soccer; and Basketball. The school culture varies depending on grade. Admin doesn’t handle bad behavior as well as they should.
In addition to being a certified International Baccalaureate school, Leland has the perks of a small school with the tools for students to reach out on a global scale. Students have the opportunity to join sports without the fear of being cuts, a multitude of clubs, and leadership groups. There's a certain advantage to smaller classes, given that students can receive more one on one time with students creating more advantageous relations and better relationships with students who can provide their own valuable insight and perspective.
