I am one of the few students that have attended Lejeune High School for all four years of high school. While there are definitely students who do not enjoy their time here, I firmly believe that this school is what you make it. I have been pushed academically by teachers that truly want me to succeed. The relationships I have developed with other students and teachers have been some of the most valuable relationships in my life. Many students complain about a lack of school spirit, which is evident, but the diverse military community is a spirit of its own. Students can take advantage of the small size of Lejeune High School and take the many opportunities available to them.

Although Lejeune High School offers many AP classes and has a big focus on academics, it lacks any school spirit or sense of community. The highly fluctuating military community means that no student really calls Lejeune home, and many do not wish to support the school. The sports teams are dismal, except perhaps the cross country team. There are several excellent teachers, however cuts are being made to "increase class size" and the teachers which care the most about the students and who encourage students to succeed are being moved from the school. This is a small school (300-400 students) and it comes with all the combined difficulties of being a small military school with few of the benefits.
Lejeune High School is a small high school, that permits students to create personable and close relationships with staff and peers. It offers quality education through career and continuing education focused classes. The teachers and staff adequately help students prepare for college and careers through their high school careers. However, it fails to offer much of an eclectic variety of clubs or extra curricular activities
