Teachers that care! Room for improvement when it comes to weather, it floods a lot when it rains, and the roads are still working on getting paved, but these can be fixed with more funding. I didn't like this school my first year, but over time I found my group as did many others. It definitely gets better every year, in the ways of tech..students now have access to Chromebooks for online projects and research!
My experience with Leilehua High School was very compatible with a rollercoaster. I almost got the full experience until Covid-19 decided to stop the ride. The teachers and staff at Leilehua are my ohana (family) and I know they truly care for me and my education. I can always rely on every single one of them for help or any sort of support I need. Being out of school and onto virtual learning has been rough especially since it's my senior year. I'm missing out on so many events, the senior experience and I'm growing up! It's hard trying to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life at 17 and where to start. Mrs. Townsend my class councilor has helped me every step of the way and I owe I big thanks to her and all she has done. Without her I would be very lost right now not knowing where to begin. My experience at Leilehua has been amazing but it is slowly coming to an end. I have nothing but thanks to all staff members at Leilehua for helping me become who I am today.
As a new student starting Junior Year at Leilehua HS, I felt very welcomed. Everyone was really friendly and nice. It’s a different experience if you’ve never attended an outdoor school before. Other than that, it’s great!
