Legacy High School has great academics and is determined to give all students the opportunity to be successful. They have a great array of sports, clubs, and activities to get every student involved with the school. I have had a really good experience at Legacy throughout all my 4 years. My teachers were very helpful and were always searching for ways to help students learn better. I am very appreciative to have been able to attend Legacy for all 4 years of high school and I wish the best for all incoming students--that they have the same fun, rigorous experience!

At this school there was an unfortunate, huge lack of diversity in the race, and economic status of their students. The school, heavily populated by white, upper middle class students, has a lack of resources for minority students, and low income students at the school. I was there all my four years of high school, and I am a first-generation, Mexican, American student. I faced racist students, and discrimination from teachers, that sometimes hindered my ability to succeed. Given the vast amount of academic, and leadership achievements I received at the school, I can say I succeeded there, but most diverse students here tends to not succeed and aren't given resources to do so. It’s extremely unfair, and the discrimination and lack of resources for these students is not brought to attention. Given the majority is white students, the staff doesn't see this as a problem. Academically it was a great school, but they really need to fix their outreach to minority students.
I really enjoy the wide variety of academic and social organizations that are available to students. Their prime academic program, Legacy 2000, really helped to prepare me for college by teaching me to public speak and write technical papers. The downfall to this school is the lack of diversity, racially and economically, as the school is located in a generally high classed neighborhood. Students may feel self conscious if they are not caucasian or their family struggles financially. The majority of teachers at Legacy are very passionate and want to see their students succeed. It is common to see teachers before or after school to either help students, plan engaging lessons, or grade tests and papers. Although, just like any school there are some teachers who should not be working with students because of a lack of passion or understanding. Overall, Legacy High School is a very engaging and positive learning environment.
