Lee Williams High School is a very friendly school, from staff, to students, to teachers! Lee Williams has helped me personalize my high school experience and supported me in my unique interests. It is a very safe environment. The teachers make huge sacrifices for their students and their main goal is to prepare students for life and college. The Cambridge program offered is very beneficial, and Lee Williams is known as one of the best schools to offer it!

After transferring from Cholla High School in Tucson, AZ for numerous reasons, I found myself at Lee Williams High School in Kingman. It was shocking how different the two schools were.
Lee Williams is infinitely cleaner, to start. Hardly a gum spot on the ground, whereas at Cholla I couldn't put my foot down without stepping in old gum or trash.
The teachers and parents are much more involved at LWHS.
I wouldn't be on the path I'm on now if it weren't for my GEAR-UP coordinator at Lee Williams. At CHS, the staff practically encouraged student debt.
There are numerous options for financially challenged students. There are smaller class sizes, and plenty of clubs and activities. Students are welcoming, inviting, and inclusive. The teachers were all great and attentive to students and their success.
There's an overall pride in the school here at Lee Williams which is lacking in a lot of other schools, including Cholla High.
Lee Williams high school was originally named Kingman high school, following by the mascot "bulldogs." In 2015, the district changed the school to be freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year. Our colors red, white, and black are quite common within many schools in the United States. Lee Williams high school is dedicated to the 11 fireman who risked their lives and died in the late 1970's. We have a tradition at our school saying "be an 11." Being an 11 means to show respect and integrity. The school has small traditions that represent the number 11 and the 11 fireman. During graduation, the top 11 students in the class ring the bell 11 times, while the audience sits in silence. The most popular tradition is the silent night game. The entire audience is to remain silent until one if the basketball players reaches the 11th point shoot. Once the home game reaches 11 points the crowd cheers as loud as the can.
