LFAPA is a very interesting school. It seems like the teachers understand what they are doing but aren't the best a teaching it. The rest of the staff is friendly, unlike some of the teachers. The students can be a annoying but that comes with school in general. As for education it is quite good in all subject besides a few teachers just not teaching. One of the major problems however is the most of the funding goes towards the preforming arts and not to other subject to improve them.

The principal is very friendly and easy to talk to. LFPA is getting better with working with disabilities, you just have to be vocal about what you need. Teachers are a hit or miss when it comes to quality, which explains how some teachers will come and go every other year. They could also improve on test readiness, since there was a strong difference with student preparation for tests compared to other schools I've been to. I would say that when it comes to academics vs performances they have more resources for performing than improving education. If you're responsible you'll do fine in academics since classes aren't really hard to pass. Due to the performance aspect of the school you'll experience more drama then expected if you join a preforming arts class. If your child is easily influenced by peers I would be wary of their behavior as time goes on. In all, I think LFPA is one of the better schools in this district and can grow your individuality, but it could always improve.
Learning Foundation and Performing Arts is a Junior High/ High School. It has decent performing arts programs, but sadly it prioritizes musical theater over all the other arts. Academically the teachers are friendly and really help you to understand the material. Since the school is smaller than most, you tend to know everybody, and everybody knows you. This really brings a sense of community into the school. Because of this, the teachers are able to be a little more "hands on" with their teaching and even offer their free time to help you. This school is better than most public schools, but public schools have better electives.
