Although it took a lot of time, the student voice was heard and the students essentially made the school. The administration is very conscious of what students think and do well in working with students rather than imposing themselves onto them. Though, it may just be because the majority of students attend LPSR from their parents' initiative and desire for their students to succeed, I am very happy with the presence of parental support on campus especially when not all parents are supportive. The college team does well with advising and really helps students through every aspect of the college application process. I appreciate college week as it gave students the opportunity to visit schools nearby and guarantees their exposure to college life. I also appreciate experimentation in job shadowing and school wide community service. The school is moving in the right direction and is improving at a rapid rate and I'm excited to see what the school becomes in the future.

Something I liked about this high school is that the teachers get along with their students so it’s easy to ask for help. However, there’s a limited amount of classes to choose from so your forced to take APs you probably don’t want to take simply because you’ve completed the basic classes. There’s only 1 actual elective at this school being Art, there used to be photography but they took that out. Going to a high school where you aren’t able to experience new classes such as music, dance, photography, cooking or even choir as an elective makes you stress out as a student because everything seems to be about your grades.
I came into this school not being very motivated to go to college and now I am committed to go no matter what, my teachers have all encouraged me to take good decisions for my future and have been helped a lot in improving my grades. They also don't only have a good educational support system, but an emotional one too by helping their students feel like they have people to trust if they ever need someone to talk to.
