I really like the IB program which can enable students to earn credits for college and our school is one of the few high schools who has this program. The worst part of the school would be that the students can be rude at times and the things I would like to change is that they need to make the hallways bigger since there are so many students but not enough space to go to class.
I was in Raiderettes, the drill team, at L.D. Bell. I was highly involved in a lot of different student organizations such as the French Club and Student Council. The current principal focuses very well on a "student-led" school. He listens to our requests and our sought-after changes and actually implements them. While I was not able to have a homecoming dance during my senior year, my senior year pushed the principal to reinstate our ability to have them. We were only denied our dance due to COVID-19 regulations in 2022, my graduating year. I love that HEBISD in general pushes to grant students every academic opportunity possible. HEBISD pays for AP testing, unlike many districts in the state of Texas. Furthermore, they offer the IB Program with many teachers with students' best interest in mind. The only reservation I had about L.D. Bell was the way asynchronous school was used in the 2021-2022 school year.
My experience at L.D Bell has been pretty good to say the least. Though nothing’s perfect, I am very blessed to get an education, while also being grateful for the many advanced classes and education opportunities I get. I also have a great counselor at Bell, Mrs. Hosier, who has helped prepare me and has found a plan, so my dream of graduating early will pursue. These reasons have shaped my experience at Bell very well! The only negatives I have would be some of the environments, such as the school is very old and hasn’t been remodeled since it’s been built. The social environment is filled with people who care, and of course people who don’t, but that will be found anywhere. Since I am graduating early, I don’t have any senior opportunities, and I believe since I have worked hard to come to the point to be able to graduate 2024 I deserve the same opportunities as all seniors. Overall, I am proud to become an L.D Bell alumni.
I enjoy the student life and diversity. However, the building does desperately need renovation. The choir department could use a little more funding, but overall the fine arts department is excellent.
The staff are all get friendly and make sure the students feel comfortable and learn. I have never had an issue with the school or who runs the school.
Wow, LDBell is the place to go for sure!! I love bell because of the inclusive environment and the passion shown by each and every teacher.
My experience at L.D. Bell High School has been nothing but good, warm memories. The teachers I have been taught by genuinely care for the students and want to see us move along in life and do great things in our future. I have learned a great deal from my time at this school.
Almost all of the teachers i’ve had have been a pleasure. The ones i’ve had were considerate and took in consideration of our lives outside of school when choosing assignments.
I have attended Bell since my sophomore year and have enjoyed the teachers and staff. My first year was a Covid year and they had everything so well planned and was easy to follow. They have brought in all new coaching staff and made the football program 10 times better my junior year.
It was what a typical high school is. I can’t say much about it since I was full online senior year, but it was okay.
The Office and teachers were, all in all, pretty supportive. While we didn’t have the usual school dances that other school districts have, I would consider myself lucky to have attended LD Bell
Overall this high school is very good. The teachers are really good and do their jobs well. The student body can be a bit loud which is great from a spirit stand point... that is until they start booing the other team during a football game. Their band is one of the best in Texas. So yeah, pretty decent school.
Bell high school is an incredible school. The teachers strive to help students reach their full potential, providing us with the right education. Doors are always open within this school, and teachers, counselors, and administrators are always willing to help students with any questions or concerns. I feel that I've gotten a great education while being in this facility, and I hope it continues to stay this way for many years to come.
My experience at Bell High School has been interesting. It is not the most welcoming overall, and I have had some trouble making friends outside of my choir. Within the choir and other fine arts programs though, everyone is very welcoming and fun. I have had great academic success there, but it seems like the teachers in the non-honors classes are less dedicated to the learning.
Every experience i've had with bell has been very good, if only our sports teams could win in football
Overall bell is a good school. You just need to male sure to look for opportunity to succeeded. There are many things and people to help you. I would recommend going to this school ir you are looking for good academic opportunities.
The school is very academic driven and encourages students to push themselves and achieve academic greatness. The school has an outstanding band and great coaches that encourage their students to work hard and keep up good grades at the same time. Bell offers many higher level courses like AP classes, Duel Credit, and Honors classes. The district has a technology center that busses students to and from campuses so they may also experience the classes offered there too. HEB ISD works on trimesters with five period days at the highschools which allows students to take more courses than other schools while lessening their workload at the same time.
