I was there when L/N became L/N.... The transition was a little rough, but the staff, students, and community worked through it. Granted there was some bullying problems, as I'm sure there are with all schools. There were plenty of activities and academics. In fact when I graduated I already had a semester of my college classes completed. The teachers were very concerned in making sure everyone could succeed.

Lawrence-Nelson Secondary School is a small town high school in Nelson Nebraska. It gives it includes most of the benefits that a large school would receive with little of the defects. The staff and administration are very helpful in furthering the education of the students. There is a large focus for Juniors and Seniors to become college and career ready which greatly helps life planning. I would recommend this school to anyone moving in the area.
L/N being a small school the teachers tend to choose favorites. I transferred from a class a school my freshman year to L/N of which was a class D-2 school. Let's just say I was bored easily and spent a lot of time getting in trouble just because I already knew half the crap they were trying to teach. As for our new principal I like his involvement in student life and the way the school runs. He keeps everything equal, listens intently and then makes his judgment. I hate that we aren't allowed to have holes in our jeans. I understand not wanting giant gapping holes that reveal too much BUT when you spend a good some of money on a pair of designer pants that have the already hole there look going on it's not fair that your not allowed to wear them.
