The trade/tech school has plenty of good options and if you're interested in technology there are multiple opportunities. There's no visual arts program but there is a marching band. The football team is alright, and the cross country team has won state many times. Teachers are average.

My time at Lawrence County high school has been very rewarding. My school offers classes such as AP and on campus duel enrollment courses that not only challenge me, but prepare me for my future. My school also has many teachers that go above and beyond to accommodate myself and all the other students. Above all, our administration always does its best to make sure things are running smoothly and everyone is content. Overall, my school is not perfect, but neither is any other high school. If I had to choose, I would not choose to attend any other school.
I can't speak for all teachers at LCHS b/c I didn't have some of them, but if you ask for help & are actually making an effort, they will put in the effort to help you w/ whatever. It's very easy to get 1 on 1 communication & help w/ school & faculty. There are many different clubs & organizations, so everyone can find a club that fits them.I wish the athletic coaches would work together so you can play several sports but other than the guys who are able to do every sport, girls are forced to pick b/c coaches refuse to work w/ other athletic schedules which is frustrating b/c I had to pick freshman year between the 2 sports I had done my whole life, cheerleading & softball. The AP courses are tough but doable & I feel like I'm ready for college. I wish they would change how they rank also. AP students & standard students should be put into 2 completely separate rankings b/c even the AP scale doesn't do justice when AP students are working 10 times harder & have 3 times the homework.
