My experience about Lawrence Central High School is very successful and have improved on a lot of things. The schools motto is all about education and turning students into becoming leaders for the World and not just school. Lawrence Central has taught me a lot when it came to education; However , it was some challenging moments where I didn't understand some things , such as math, but I felt like it all paid off because I'm where I need to be today. Lawrence central has some of the most excellent teachers ever who not only cares about you academically but care about you personally. It was times where I had my problems at home and I tried not to bring it to school but there was always a teacher or a counselor that I can always talk to and they always listened. They encourage you to do your work and also have talks about what can they do to help you increase your grades. I would recommend any eighth grader to go to Lawrence Central High School.

There is a lot of diversity, which is great. But there are a lot of students that would be in jail if they didn't have school to go to. It's more of a distraction for them than an opportunity for bettering themselves. There are more opportunities for students that are on free/reduced lunch. I, along with many others, feel lost in the population of students that come from a middle income family. We don't qualify for any financial assistance, but we also struggle to pay for the opportunities often given for free to lower income families.
Liked the opportunities to participate in different clubs, classes, sports, arts and find my interests. Disliked the heavy focus on some sports (football) and lack of investment with other sports (volleyball). Athletic department seems to have dropped the ball!
Liked the variety of classes that can challenge and prepare you for college. Disliked the inconsistency with quality teachers. Most are great, some need to remember why they decided to become teachers.
