Tuition
Lawrence Academy, a coeducational independent boarding school for 400 boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12, is located in Groton, Massachusetts. Our mission focuses on recognizing students for who they are; inspiring them to take responsibility for who they want to become, and empowering them to take action for the greater good. LA prides itself on a compassionate culture. Individualized learning and empowerment is a cornerstone of our program; a focus that extends beyond the classroom to athletics, the arts, clubs, community service, and experiential learning (via our Winterim program). Skilled at teaching for understanding, faculty use innovative methods to help students learn in the way best suited for them. The daily Advisory system uses student needs and passions to help build pathways to individual goals and aspirations. We seek to see students grow in knowledge, confidence, and empathy; able to make a meaningful contribution to the world once they leave our campus.

Winterim Experiential Learning Program
For nearly five decades, Lawrence Academy has embraced the idea of experiential education through Winterim: a two-week mini-term in March that takes place both on and off campus. Roughly 44 immersive Winterim options are offered each year, with each course falling into one of five categories: cultural immersion, academic field study, service learning, crafts and skills, or outdoor adventure.

The staff and administration are continually providing many different ways for students to become involved, promoting the diverse interests of all the students.
By joining the soccer team his freshman year, my son made lots of great friends very quickly, both other freshman and upper class-men. He has found LA to be a warm and welcoming environment.
Lawrence is a great balance of academics, activities and community. I'm so thankful to have found this perfect place for my son to grow and develop throughout his high school years. I would highly recommend LA!
