Laurel High School Reviews
Rating 3.21 out of 5 598 reviews
I have been in Laurel high school for only 2 years after I moved after I finished my sophomore year from Howard high which rated the highest in Howard county. Its hard to compare between the academic differences and materials that are provided more in Howard and more resources to make a better student, in Laurel there is a lack of resources and it puts to much pressure on the student to use their own time to look for resources and work to get the money for the materials that are needed for school such as calculators and papers. As a former student at Howard high where everything was provided for me, I am having a hard time keeping with and dealing with the changes that are obvious.
While I attended Laurel High School I realized that there were many flaws about the school such as the level of academics and college readiness were not up to par with some schools in our county. Although it was very diverse and did have a sense of vibrancy when it came to certain sports, it all in all was lacking in fundamental aspects of a school.
I would like to see changes with the building itself it is a very old school but there are so many things that need to be replaced like appliances, classroom materials, and the bathroom sinks ,mirrors and etc.
