Lassiter High School is an excellent institution that helps students strive for academic success in a myriad of ways. Teachers are readily available to mentor students both inside and outside of classes to obtain extra help, in addition to the extra half hour of teacher help every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Regardless of the courses taken, all classes strive to push students out of their comfort zone in order to create a motivated, dedicated student. Outside of academics, Lassiter has a wide-range of clubs that are sure to strike a liking in every student. Whether a student is a competitive chess player, or is ecstatic about caring for animals, there is an activity for every student. Various classes are also included throughout the school day such as music, foreign language, and business courses that can enrich a student's learning outside of a basic academic schedule in order to tailor their interests to future career or college aspects.
Teachers will absolutely prepare you for the AP exams. Lassiter expects all students to take the AP exams for the AP classes they take, no exemptions. Not diverse... you ARE in NE Cobb. Some teachers are widely disliked, others are loved. Students will complain, but I think you can succeed in any class if you don't act a fool.
Counselors provide college chat sessions to help students with applications, which have been quite helpful. There are tons of clubs, but school spirit and participation has severely fallen during the past four years. Is it depression? Phone addiction? I dunno man.
We are super safe thanks to the beautiful Officer Quan, god bless him. Dr. Richie is cool, also god bless him. Our football team is bad, but also the most popular. Our great lacrosse teams deserve more attention. I have no idea how the food is here.
The bathrooms are awful. You'll get used to it. All the music kids complain about their teachers but they stick with the program.
