I loved my experience at Lassiter High School. Looking back, there are many teachers that I made great connections with and were crucial to my success in high school. Lassiter prepared me very well for the University of Georgia.

Aside from academics, the administrators were always present at sporting events which I loved to see. Overall, Lassiter is a super positive environment, and one of the best high schools in the state!

Overall. Lassiter is pretty good. Academically, this school is about as good as it gets and as a current college student I feel like I was very well prepared. There are some complaints I have though. To start, the administration only emphasizes students going to four-year universities after high school, and other pathways like tech schools and trades were pushed to the side. I personally feel like a lot of students were pressured into thinking that they must go to college to be successful, which is not the case. Also, this school is VERY clichey, way more than what I’ve heard about other high schools from what my college friends have told me. And it’s not just the “popular crowd” that acts exclusive, most groups in general just keep to themselves and overall there is a lot of judgement between different types of kids. That being said, if you want to be pushed academically and you are very inclined in that aspect, Lassiter is a very good choice.
Lassiter High School is a culmination of excellence in many different capacities. Academically, a majority of students are high achieving and very motivated. The academic climate is competitive but I believe that this environment brings out the best in kids.
As far as extracurricular activities go, Lassiter is incredibly well rounded. Its athletic programs are high achieving with good facilities. The school spirit displayed by students is incredible.
There are enough opportunities at the school so that any interest can be fulfilled by a club or activity. The band is well respected and performs at the highest levels of competition. There are successful business clubs, publications, community service groups, and so much more to get involved in.
Overall, Lassiter is performing at the pinnacle of public high schools in the state.
