My experience at LaSalle Intermediate Academy is amazing. The teachers are very supportive and want to actually help you succeed. The students are very diverse and each a different perspective on everything they see around them. There are many ways to advance in your learning at your own pace but also strict towards deadlines and getting work done. If I had to change anything at LaSalle would be the food. The food is mostly always in plastic bags and very greasy and unhealthy. While we support the idea of a healthy lifestyle in the classroom, the corporation or school should start making actions toward the lunch set up and actually promote that mindset. Instead of putting money into new jerseys for the football team maybe they should try to put the money into actual cheese or better breaded chicken. Overall LaSalle brings the idea of academic excellence to the students so they will keep that mind set in and out of the classroom and in the overall future.

There is very much a focus here on the academically and physically talented students, but they are not the majority. Therefore, about half the school is not given the level of attention, or more importantly, the quality of resources that could help them grow. This school has plenty of opportunities, but too many students will never be able to take advantage of them without more guidance and a scaling back on the intensity of the activities. For example, there should be a lego robotics team for students who do not already have every sill required for the team and perhaps a beginning soccer team for students who have not played before.
This school was really good in a way, but it could be better. For once, they have very limited clubs, and none of them are English, Social Studies, or Math clubs. They only have clubs for leadership, sports, and Science, all of which are EXTREMELY unnecessary in my life. The teachers and staff were good, but i faced a lot of tensions from immature students and some racists(students, not teachers). This is why i gave it 3/5: It's a very easy school to get an 4 GPA, if your challenged, and its not very academically challenged and has very limited extracurricular activities.
