My experience in Las Vegas Highschool was quite average. There are some really good teachers that help you in advance with college life. They also have good activities. The shool has a chance where students don't take final exams that is known as 2-2-2. You must have either an A or a B in each quarter and have less than 2 absences, 2 tardies and 2 detentions. One thing I would like to see that would change is students taking tests that need to be passed in order to graduate. For example proficiencies are general exams that must be passed like an ASVAB test. My class was the last one to take proficiencies. Overall the school was good is some situations but not so great in others.

Attending a high school can be scary and intimating to those students who do not know what to expect. Luckily i was confronted with super helpful, kind and funny students and staff which had made my experience easier. At las Vegas I love the amount of school sprit within the school. Many students that would decorate their parking spaces, lockers and books in Las Vegas high school colors in honor of having spirt and love for their school. This is an amazing thing to have at a school because it allows students a chance to express their creativity and ability to make new friends. One thing at Las Vegas high school that should change would be the school lunch menu. There is not a diverse nor healthy options offered to students, there is a limited and set menu. School lunch consists of a daily pizza slice or other unhealthy alternatives. Which for many reasons are a hindrance to all students but especially those who have a restricted diet due to allergies or in a sport/ club.
Attending Las Vegas High School provided me with many life changing opportunities. Over the 4 years of attending Las Vegas High School I had the opportunity to increase my knowledge with the help of extraordinary teachers. I was able to express my abilities through my school work and gain help from teachers as well as students. In Las Vegas High School I was able to join clubs such as Key Club and National Honor Society which helped me increase my social skills and helped me meet new people. In attending the school I was able to join the Las Vegas High School Chamber orchestra where I was given the opportunity to showcase my musical abilities. Overall, Las Vegas High School has had a great impact on my life making me a better student as well as person.
