There are so many different after-school organizations that anyone can participate in. I participate in National Honor Society, Marching Band, Student Council, and Link Crew. There are environmentally conscious groups, like Green Club, and there are more curriculum derived clubs such as Mu Alpha Theta and quiz bowl. There are clubs for everyone!

The schools teachers are great. Some better then others. Depending on the class the teachers teach in the way they feel is right or was told to do. We do get a lot of visual but one way I'd hope they improve is the way they give notes. Teachers will literally click from slide to slide , read and summarize it, and then expect some retained knowledge. It's a bit old school their even with presented slides because the routine doesn't teach students the way it use to. The teachers are intelligent and highly capable of teaching but not all teachers have good teaching methods. Interest in students isn't something I expect but their interest in individual students are average. They notice and a knowledge details such as a new look other then that the rest doesn't concern them. The newer teachers are very good at communicating with us because their younger so they can relate with us personally. The teachers that have been their a while are ok but I think after a few years of teaching their communication is more serious and connects with us less. The schools grading system is fair, some more strict then others.
I like how understanding and kind most of the teachers are. I also love the choir and band program. Something I do not love is that we changed our schedules from having seven hours to having six hours. It gives us less choices in classes we can take. I want to go into musical theatre after high school; but with this change, it is just one less music class that I can not take. It makes me very upset because we have to take all of our required classes first, and then you get to pick your electives. So, taking away an hour, takes away an elective. What if some people do not want to go into the basic classes like math and science? I want to go into music so I just do not think it is fair. I also do not like how they do not have many vegetarian and vegan options in the cafeteria. Even the salads, they top with meat and cheese.
