Lanier high school the pride of the west side. Our community loves Lanier this school is a second home to me. I absolutely love this school so many traditions and memories. I have been around this school since I was born my parents put me in a youth organization located at Lanier. Everyone always doubts our school and students because we come from a place where we are all mostly Mexican, we live in one of the poorest side of town; but people don’t see the good we are. We are just like everyone else our students succeed from Lanier, our faculty and staff love their students like their own. I have never been in a classed where our teachers complain. I would say I am proud to be from Lanier high school where our pride is everything.

I am a Junior here at Sidney Lanier High School! Honestly this school has always had bad reputation. I can tell you honestly that this school is the best school for me. I didn’t even want to attend Lanier, but now I’m glad to be able to graduate as a Lanier Vok!
During my time at Lnaier High School, it was very pleasing. The community is so engaged with the school. The school does things for the community and the community does things for the school. Now that all high schools are being remodeled within the SAISD circle, it is so great to see my old high school get reworked. The only negative thing about my time there were the attendance. Though, starting from my freshman year to my senior year, the attendance rate has gone up by a lot.
