The school itself may have great ratings and that's because the ones who are rating it are those that benefit institutionally from the school. The culture of the school itself was extremely toxic and cliquey. POC culture wasn't supported at all and the conditions of the school while I was a student were terrible as they were undergoing renovations. The school is a lot nicer now, but the teachers were also a hit or miss. During my time there, I noticed the good professors were given to those in AP classes and those in regular classes had the worst professors. The AP professors in the humanities department at Langley is the best, while the math department and regular level humanity teachers had the worst.

Langley High School has a big campus and large student body. The majority population of students are competitive, and the peer pressure is pretty high. Academics are rigorous, and teachers are great. The school counselors are very nice and will offers many resources to students for what they need. Find a job during high school will be easy at Langley because of the career center and the variety of resources. There is a big football field, tennis courts, and baseball field; there are two gymnasiums for sports teams to practice in. Langley offers a huge variety of sports. In addition, the music department is great. Orchestra, band including marching band, and choir all have music teachers with a great music background foundation.
I personally had an exceptional experience at Langley. Many say that the people are fake and form cliques, however this is something to be experienced in every high school. The school was more culturally diverse than perceoved, but most students come from higher income backgrounds. I do not see "minority" students struggling at this school; everyone has their group where they are accepted. Teachers are very caring no matter how challenging their classes are. Whatever level course you take at Langley, whether it be Honors or AP or regular courses, you WILL be prepared for college and very likely more prepared than in a neighboring pricey private school. Yes the students are VERY competitive and materialistic and some people are disappointed and distraught by that, but in the end it's better to tackle these challenges as a teenager rather than as a working adult.
