Lancaster High, your typical high school with many... many disappointments and somewhat great advantages. My experience from ninth grade to twelfth involves a large number of scandals, two-faced relationships, the misconception of identity, never understanding how people have the strength to fight at eight in the morning, gun threats almost every month, and the slow realization of how screwed up people are... including the teachers. However, I grew friendships and made memories with amazing people. Statistics show Lancaster High is the most diverse school in the county with a high percentage of black students followed by white and Hispanic students. The flaws lie within the interior and exterior of the school. Rules such as the dress code should be enforced equally towards males and females (regardless of their race as well). Embrace new changes and allow original traditions to adjust as a way of influencing more school culture.

School is overall rather average. Some teachers are really good, going above and beyond and show that they really care about your learning and personal growth. Other teachers are not so good- halfway teaching material and could really care less about whether or not you learn it. There are more good teachers than not so good teachers, though. Food is like any other school, even though sometimes the food runs out by 3rd lunch. Clubs are not very prominent and there are not many club options at all. Diversity is a strong suit, there are plenty of different kinds of people there and they generally get along. Action has been taken to increase school safety, including closing off all but the main entrances and exits. College readiness could use some work, only AP classes offered any when I was there.
I liked the diversity at Lancaster High School and the teachers were awesome! I attended Lancaster all four years of high school. I was able to participate in drama, honors classes, sports and other extra curricular activities. The dual credit courses were also a big advantage at Lancaster High School. I will be attending college in the fall and feel I am very well prepared.
