Lancaster High School Reviews
Rating 3.95 out of 5 310 reviews
My experience at Lancaster High School was mostly likely very different but similar to some. I started off freshman year excited for the high school where everyone is very welcoming. Then everything changed and sometimes I believe it happened for a reason. My teachers all throughout high school taught very differently but they were all amazing and unique in their own way. I enjoyed learning from all of my teachers and I would never ask for anything different. Lancaster High School is a very welcoming high school no matter what time you are coming in. All of the teachers, underclass men and upper class men were all so welcoming. The environment of high school was also unforgettable whether it was fun football games or amazing school dances, lancaster high school had it all. I appreciate everything that school has done for me in the past and I would not be the person I am today without it.
Lancaster was fun, with the various clubs and sports. I made friends very easily as I was extroverted but for our more introverted friends it wouldn’t be difficult for them to find their people. Joining in any clubs or sports is a great idea to get involved with the school and just your peers. The welcoming aura around the teams and clubs i’ve joined had been amazing. The girls varsity swim team especially. Most people coming into high school are scared and worried, but in Lancaster there’s no need. Wether you are an art, band, sports, or academic student everyone can find something specific to themselves. The academy’s are also a good way to get involved. Freshman year you have to apply to a certain academy and later on your application and recommendations are reviewed, if you made it into an academy you get a nice complementary email and a in person confrontation. Personally I am in the art academy partially for the career I am pursuing. Lancaster was a wonderful school for me.
My experience at Lancaster High School has been great! In my opinion, the faculty and staff here do a great job at creating an adaptable and supportive learning environment. There's almost an endless amount of resources for whatever any of the students here need, which is extremely helpful when trying to get work done. All of the students are provided with a wide range of opportunities, including five educational academies and many different electives. My school has much more to offer than just the core classes, which is one of the favorite things about my school. I personally participate in the PLTW academy, which has allowed me to explore the things I'm actually interested in, such as technology and engineering. Overall, the past four years at this high school have been very positive, and I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else.
